The Twelve Kizuki [Blood Demon Moons] From The Demon Slayer : All Powers and Abilities Of Upper Ranks Explained.

OVERVIEW

The Twelve Kizuki [Twelve Demon Moons] is the organiztion of most powerful 12 demons who directly served under the Kibutsuji Muzan. The Twelve Blood Moons are divided into the two groups :- Six Upper Moon And Six Lower Moon.

The difference in the power between The Upper Moon and The Lower Moon is vast that The Upper Moon have much Techniques and Special Powers in which Lower Moon lacks. The Lower Ranks have their numbers and ranks engraved only into one eye on the other hand the Upper Ranks have their numbers in one eye and the kanji for "Upper Rank" in the other eye.

The Power of the Upper Ranks far surpasses than those of Lower Ranks and they have killed number of Hashiras whereas Lower Ranks are deafeated and killed by Hashiras many times. Muzan stated himself that Upper Ranks despise Lower Ranks.

"UPPER MOON RANKS"

01. Kokushibo 

Kokushibo is the most powerful Demon working under Kibutsuji Muzan, labelled as the upper rank one among the twelve Kizuki. Kokushibo is also the ancestors of Muichiro Tokito and Yuichiro Tokito. Kokushibo was often reserved as a demon  with little knowledge about the Upper Ranks. He has displayed a strong sense of loyalty towards Muzan Kibutsuji. Kokushibo abilities proves him to be to number one among Twelve Kizukis. He possess much abilities such as flesh Manipulation, Sword Manipulation, Demonic Transformation, Immense Regeneration and he also excels all of them. Besides all these abilities, he uses Blood Demon Art (A special ability every Upper Twelve Moon Member has) which is known as Moon Breathing. He is a breath style user and possess tremendous level of strength and sharp reflexes. He was beheaded by Two-Hashiras :- Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima. His Moon Breathing has sixteen techniques and he uses a fleshly and demonically version of Nichrin Katana.

02. Doma 

Doma is a major supporting antagonist of Demon Slayer who holds the Upper Rank Two in Twelve Kizuki Dome is the leader of Eternal Paradise Cult and is also responsible for the death of Inosuke Hashibira's mother. Kanae Kocho and Kanao Tsuyuri Doma is a psychopathic Demon who pretends to be outward friendly holding the Upper Rank Two position he is the third strongest demon. His superficial abilities are the reason for his Rank Two, naturally these abilities are biological absorption, Extrasensory perception, Immense Regeneration. His blood demon art most powerful technique is Cryokinesis. Besides this he has other lot of techniques such as Frozen Cotus, Barren Hanging Garden, Freezing Clouds, Scattering Cotuses, Cold White Princess, Wintry Icicles, Lotus Vines, Crystalline Divine Child, Rime- Water Lily Bodhisattva. Doma Weilds two extremely sharp blades made from his flesh.

03. Akaza 

Akaza is the Demon holding the third rank in Twelve Kizuki. He was a human named Hakuji before being turned into a Demon:- Akaza is a strong and stubborn Demon who took down the one of the best Hashiras Kyojuro Rengoku.(The Flame Hashira). Besides all of this, he overwhelmes Tanjiro and Giyu when they were at Hashira level with all this might, he is the fourth strongest Demon un entire series. His blood Demon Art is destructive death which combines Shockwave like blasts. He is also a very hand to hand combatant and also excels his every technique of Blood Demon Art.

04. Nakime

Nakime is the Upper Rank Four Demon in the Twelve Kizuki. She is a mysterious Biwa Demon who dwelled in infinity castle. She came ro hold the Upper Rank Four after the death of Hantengu. Nakime serves directly under Muzan command whose work is to fix meeting of Twelve Blood Moons with Muzan Kibutsuji in infinity castle using her Biwa. She is also very powerful that she gives a very difficult time to Obanai Iguro and Misturi Kanroji using her control over the environment. Her abilities are also exceptional such as eye detachment, talented Biwa player leading to castle manipulation. She also uses her technique to locate the Kagaya Ubuyashiki.

05. Gyokko

Gyokko holds the position of Upper Rank Five in Twelve Kizuki. His appearance is pale with multiple hands on his back. He has fought with Muichiro Tokito and used his blood Demon Art:- Thousand Needle Fish Kill against Muichiro Gyokko is much powerful Demon and his techniques are fish-based powers. His blood Demon art includes several techniques such as Aquatic Creature Manipulation, Cell Manipulation, Water Manipulation, Teleportation and Molting Transformation.

06. Kaigaku

Kaigaku is affiliated with Twelve Kizuki holding the position of Upper Rank Six replacing Daki and Gyutaro. Kaigaku is the disciple of former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima. In the Hashira training Are, he encountered Kokushibo and got defeated surrendered to him and saving his own life he turned into a Demon, becoming a member of Twelve Kizuki. In the infinity castle Are, he is confronted by his junior disciple Zenitsu and got beheaded by his Thunder Breathing Seventh form. Kaigaku's blood Demon art is Electrokinesis which allows him to generate and manipulate lighting and electricity.

"LOWER MOON RANKS"

01. Enmu 

Enmu is the position holder of Lower Rank One in Twelve Kizuki who was given order to kill Tanjiro and the least one Hashira in Mugen Train Are. Before confronting Kyojuro and Tanjiro on Mugen Train, he also received more amount of blood from Muzan Kibutsuji which gave him enhanced power to put anyone to sleep instantly. His main abilities are Flesh Manipulation, Fusion, Dream Manipulation, Sleep Inducement and his fighting style includes techniques like whispers of forced unconscious hypnosis and eyes of forced unconscious sleep. In the Mugen Train Arc, he was defeated and killed by Kamado Tanjiro and Inosuke Hashibira together while on the other hand Kyojuro, Zenitsu and Nezuko were continuously stopping his flesh to kill the humans inside the train.

02. Rokuro

Rokuro holds the Lower Rank Two position in Twelve Kizuki:- Rokuro appearance is like an older man with purple hair he respected and feared Muzan as his leader. He was quite confident about his powers as a Demon. After the death of Rui( Lower Rank Five) by the Hashira Giyu Tomioka, Muzan assembled all Lower Ranks where Muzan killed all Lower Ranks except Enmu.

03. Wakuraba

Wakuraba was member of Twelve Kizuki held the position of Lower Rank Three in the meeting held in Infinity Castle Muzan killed two lower ranks and he has no intention of letting the remain alive upon releasing this, Wakuraba tryied to escape from Muzan but his head was chopped of very swiftly. His abilities were like all Demons as regeneration and speed, power, endurance. Except all of these no special technique/power is showed by him. 

04. Mukago

Mukago helds the position of Lower Rank Four. She appeared to be sickly, having yellowish skin with dark red strips across her cheeks. She was the most cowardly Demon among the Lower Ranks. She was also killed by Muzan in Infinity Castle but as she was Lower Rank Four we can assume she was stronger than Rui and Kamanue.

05. Rui

Rui is the Demon among the Twelve Kizuki who hold the position of Lower Rank Five. Rui has appearance of young boy with red dots and light pink hairs. His mental condition is disturbed and he desired to make his own new family with perfect bonds. He is the main antagonist in the Natagumo Mountain Arc where he and his family confronts the Demon Slayer Groups and after that Tanjiro, Nezuko, Inosuke and Zenitsu. He almost killed Tanjiro when Giyu shaved up and defeated him. He finally killed by Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira). His abilities were well shown on Natagumo Mountain Arc. His Demon Blood Art is Cell Manipulation, Thread Manipulation.

06. Kamanue

Kamanue is the Lower Rank Six Demon in Twelve Kizuki. He is a short young man with pale blue coloured eyes. He was also killed by Muzan alon with other Lower Ranks in Infinity Castle.

All Twelve Kizuki listed above are the current members until Muzan killed all the Lower Ranks.
